Geek Fam have swept Rebellion Zion, 2-0, in the second week of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Indonesia Season 10 (MPL ID Season 10).
This was an important win for the organization, as it snapped its 17-game losing streak. The last time they won was at MPL ID Season 8 regular season against the same team.
While everyone on the team contributed to the victory, recently acquired Filipino imports Allen “Baloyskie” Baloy and Jaymark “Janaaqt” Lazaro did the heavy lifting for the squad.
In the first game, Janaaqt had a flawless 7/0/5 KDA on Julian, and earned the MVP award. The second game was tight, but Baloyskie’s well-placed walls and crucial Wild Charges on Grock helped the team secure the sweep.
Geek Fam’s dominant win against Rebellion Zion in the second week of MPL ID Season 10
In the first game, Geek Fam went for a hyperaggressive lineup with Julian, Natalia, Claude, and Esmeralda. Rebellion had a more team fight-oriented composition with Mathilda and Faramis in the frontline.
The aggressive playstyle of Geek Fam worked extremely well in the first game. Leading by as much as 9,000 gold at the 10-minute mark, Baloyskie and the rest of the squad pushed bot lane with an Enhanced Lord to win in just 13 minutes of play. Geek Fam had a lopsided 21-5 kill score on top of Janaaqt’s 7/0/5 KDA on Julian.
Rebellion Zion regrouped in the second game and answered back with their own aggressive lineup comprising Aamon, Beatrix, and Lunox. Geek Fam answered with a team fight heavy lineup that included Grock, Claude, and Yve.
The second game was more intense, as Rebellion Zion had the slight upper hand in kills and gold in the first five minutes of the game. However, Geek Fam took the lead after killing three members of Rebellion Zion in a midlane team fight seven minutes into the game.
The Geek squad maintained map control until they secured the Enhanced Lord with no resistance at the 13-minute mark.
Rebellion Zion almost defended their base after killing three, but Baloyskie focused on hitting the crystal while Janaaqt hunted down the remaining Rebellion Zion members on the side. With their combined effort and the Lord still alive, Geek Fam successfully completed the 2-0 sweep.

Geek Fam’s roamer was all smiles during the press conference and said that this win is only the beginning for the squad.
“I think this win is very important because we really need it at this time,” he said. “We still need to be more confident for our next match, and this is a good momentum to face an even tougher opponent next week.”
This weekend, Baloyskie will meet former ONIC PH teammate Kairi “Kairi” Rayosdelsol in the Land of Dawn as Geek Fam go up against ONIC Esports on Sunday, 3 p.m. GMT+8.
