Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Patch 1.7.20 has been officially released on the original server, just in time for the MPL playoffs in the Philippines, Indonesia, and Malaysia.
This patch features the Project NEXT visual upgrade to Lesley and Gusion, along with the game-changing magic sentry mechanic.
Heroes who are dominating the current meta such as Beatrix, Wanwan, and Natalia have been toned down. In turn, rarely picked heroes such as Minsitthar, Alice, and Valir have received small, but important buffs.
Here are all the buff, nerf, hero revamps, and battlefield adjustments in patch 1.7.20.
Patch 1.7.20 Project NEXT hero reworks
Lesley
Attributes
- Base Attack increased from 131 to 140
- Attack Growth decreased from 9 to 7
- Attack Speed Ratio decreased from 100% to 80%
Passive – Lethal Shot
- Lethal Shot crits now deal true damage but the base crit damage is reduced
- Each point of fixed physical penetration is converted into crit damage at a set ratio
- Damage decreased from 120% physical attack to 110% physical attack
- Fixed an issue where some equipment could not get a bonus crit chance from this skill
Skill 1 – Master of Camouflage
- Comes with brand-new textures while Camouflaged to better fit the effect
- we’ve also improved it for smoother combos with basic attacks
- Extra physical attack decreased from 75-200 to 85-135
- Fixed an issue where some equipment could not get bonus attack from this skill
Skill 2 – Tactical Grenade
- Slightly increased the casting range, redesigned the animation and visual effects, and optimized its combos with basic attacks and Skill 1.
Ultimate – Ultimate Snipe
- Redesigned the indicator and visual effects
- Fatal Bullet’s Base Damage increased from 200-300 to 250-350
- New passive effect: Gains critical chance based on the skill level (5%-15%)
Gusion
Passive – Dagger Specialist
- Adjusted the effect so it’s now triggered on each skill cast and can stack up to 4 times
- The Basic attack strengthening effect increases with the stack count
- damage per stack: 4% of target’s lost HP (up to 4 stacks, 16% in total)
- HP Regen adjusted from 80% of his damage to 50 per stack + 25% Magic Power (up to 4 stacks)
- Fixed an issue where enhanced Basic Attacks could not be triggered in certain situations

Beatrix
All Weapons
- Reloading time slightly increased
- Reloading time now decreases greatly as attack speed increases
Renner (Sniper Rifle)
- Damage decreased from 350-525% physical attack to 365-400% physical attack
- Hitbox increased to 1.5 times the original
- You can now swipe to get the skill indicator while she’s reloading (the indicator is red while reloading)
Wesker (Shotgun)
- Damage decreased from 125-195% physical attack to 150%-220% physical attack
- Hitbox Width: Reduced to 75% initial hitbox width
- Each successive hits deal 25% initial damage. The total damage she can make at close distance is greatly reduced, and she must be fairly close in order to hit multiple enemies
Bennett (Grenade Gun)
- Damage decreased from 180-320% Physical Attack to 230-300% physical attack
- Slow effect increased from 30% to 40%
Nibiru (Submachine Gun)(↑)
Damage increased from 50-67.5% physical Attack to 52.5-70% physical attack
Ultimate
Renner (Sniper Rifle)
- Aim Time decreased from 20s to 8s
- Lifesteal decreased from 50% to 25%
- Canceling a cast only loses a 50% Cooldown
Wesker’s Elation
- Damage increased from 295-445 + 110% physical attack to 350-550 + 130% physical attack
- Hitbox Width reduced to 75% initially
- Successive hits damage decreased from 75%, 50% and 25% initial damage (remains at 25% for all the successive hits) to now dealing only 25% initial damage. (The total damage she can make at close distances is greatly reduced, and she must be fairly close to hitting with multiple hits.)
- Lifesteal gain decreased from 50% to 25%
Bennett’s Rage
- Slow effect increased from 30% to 40%
Nibiru’s Passion
- Damage increased from 6 times to 10 times
- Damage per hit decreased from 200-320 + 60% physical attack to 130-210 + 40% physical attack
- Damage per hit reduced by around 35%; total damage increased by around 10%
Wanwan
Ultimate – Crossbow of Tang
- Cooldown increased from 40-34s to 50-42s
- Her ultimate can no longer be used on any target after breaking an enemy’s weaknesses but must be used on that target.
Natalia
Passive – Assassin Instinct
- Removed slow effect
- Silence effect adjusted from silences the target for 1s after marking them twice to silences the target for 0.25s every time they are marked
When concealed
- Becoming exposed to a nearby enemy’s time decreased from 2s after the enemy moved into range to 0.6s after the enemy moved into range
- Cannot be targeted by smart skill targeting or basic attacks
- Unified the range of different exclamation marks

Ultimate – The Hunt
- Cooldown increased from 2s (varies based on Cooldown Reduction) to 3s
Valentina
Skill 1 – Shadow Strike
- Terror Duration decreased from 0.7s to 0.6s
Ultimate – I Am You
- Cooldown increased from 42s to 55s
- Valentina now gains the ability to hit enemies’ weaknesses after stealing Wanwan’s Ultimate and needs to hit all three weaknesses of an enemy to cast the Ultimate
- Valentina now unlocks the Rage mechanic after stealing Minotaur’s Ultimate and needs to reach maximum Rage to cast the enhanced Ultimate.
- Damage of the Ultimate stolen from X.Borg is now the same as the lower damage when X.Borg’s Firaga Armor is destroyed, instead of that when his Firaga Armor is active.
Yin
Skill 1 – Frenzy Strike
- Cooldown recreased from 11-8s to 10-7s
Skill 2 – Instant Blast
- Damage reduction increased from 25% to 30%
Ultimate – My Turn
- Increased the delay before the target’s actually pulled into the domain
Faramis
Skill 1 – Shadow Stampede
- Cooldown increased from 15s to 18s
Skill 2 – Ghost Bursters
- Initial Damage decreased from 330-480 + 144% magic power to 300-450 + 108% magic power
Ultimate – Cult Altar
- Base extra HP decreased from 700-900 + 15% HP to 600-800 + 10% HP
Johnson
Ultimate – Rapid Touchdown
- Cooldown decreased from 45-40s (calculated after the skill is cast) to 36-30s (calculated after the skill ends)
Alice
Attributes
- HP Growth decreased from 201 to 169
- Mana Growth decreased from 110 to 0
Passive – Blood Ancestry
- New effect: 2 blood orbs will appear when enemy heroes die nearby
- Alice can absorb the orbs, each of which can permanently increase her Max Mana by 20
- Effect removed: Restores 50 mana upon absorbing an orb
- For every 12 orbs absorbed, increases 10% Cooldown Reduction >> increases Mana Regen Ultimate
Ultimate – Blood Ode
- Mana cost increased from 40-80 to 60-140
- HP regen adjusted from 60-80 + 20% Magic Power to 60-100 + 10% Magic Power
- Damage adjusted from 120-160 + 50% Magic Power to 60-120 + 20% magic attacks + (0.5-1.5% + 0.5% per 1000 Max Mana) Max HP
- Percent damage dealt to non-hero units based on max HP capped at 600
Minsitthar
Skill 2 – Shield Assault
- Base shield adjusted from 200-600 to 350-600
- Slightly increased bullet speed and hitbox
Ultimate – King’s Calling
- Now disables all Blink/Dash skills (e.g., Saber’s ultimate, Wanwan’s passive, Ruby’s passive) of the affected enemies.
Moskov
Skill 1 – Abyss Walker
- Attack speed boost decreased from 1.4-1.7 times to 1.3-1.5 times
Ultimate – Spear of Destruction
- 30% slow for 1.5s (Up to 90% Slow) to 50% slow for 1s (Up to 5s)
- Cooldown increased from 45-35s to 55-45s
Badang
Skill 1 – Fist Wind
- Charge decreased from 13-10s to 11-8s
- Initial attack’s base damage decreased from 210-360 to 160-260
- Successive attacks’ base damage decreased from 115-210 to 120-195
Pharsa
Passive – Spiritual Unity
- Damage adjusted from 150 + 120% Magic Power to (8% + 1% per 200 Magic Power) Max HP
- Fixed an issue where Spiritual Unity could not benefit from Magic Power and Spell Vamp from equipment
Ultimate – Feathered Airstrike
- Cooldown decreased from 46-38s to 42-34s
Valir
Skill 1 – Burst Fireball
- Charge adjusted from 8.5s to 9-7.5s
Skill 2 – Searing Torrent
- The animation now matches whether or not the skill is successfully cast
Bruno
Skill 1 – Volley Shot
- Bruno now gains 30% extra Movement Speed for 0.5 seconds when his Powerball hits an enemy
Fredrinn
Skill 1 – Piercing Strike
- Slightly reduced cast backswing time
Skill 2 – Brave Assault
- Fixed an issue where the dash would end as he hit an enemy behind him (This will make the skill a more reliable escape tool)
Ultimate – Appraiser’s Wrath
- Greatly reduced cast backswing time
Granger
Skill 2 – Rondo
- Basic attack damage boost increased from 10-30% to 25-40%
Lapu-Lapu
Ultimate (Enhanced) – Bravest Fighter
- First two attacks’ damage increased from 300-450 + 140% physical attack to 380-580 + 160% physical attack
Bane
Skill 2 – Ale
- Base damage increased from 200-400 >> 250-450
- Base HP Regen increased from 160-285 to 200-300
Jawhead
Skill 1 – Smart Missiles
- Damage increased from 125-220 + 25% physical attack to 150-250 + 30% physical attack
Julian
Passive – Smith’s Legacy
- All skills’ cooldowns increase from 7s to 10-6.5s (decreases as he levels up)
Fanny
Attributes
- Base Physical Defense decreased from 19 to 16
- Physical attack growth decreased from 13.25 to 10.25
Skill 2 – Steel Cable
- Optimized the skill’s Camera Shift
- The camera view will now correctly pan in the designated direction
Masha
Attribute
- HP Growth from 165 to 145
Passive – Ancient Strength
- Physical lifesteal at 2 HP Bars decreased from 25% to 15%
- Physical lifesteal at 1 HP Bar: Total value remains unchanged
Aldous
Attributes
- Base HP decreased from 2718 to 2668
- HP growth decreased from 210 to 190

Patch 1.7.20 battlefield adjustments
Magic Sentry
- Function: A Magic Sentry spawns at that side behind the base’s walls whenever a side loses an Inner Turret. It triggers when a hero steps within the area, lighting up that side’s Jungle for six seconds. Can be used once per 90 seconds (Reveals invisible units)
Patch 1.7.20 equipment changes
Glowing Wand
- Skills burn the target for 3s, dealing 1.5% of their Max HP as Magic Damage per second and increasing their Magic Damage taken by 2-4 (up to 6 stacks)
Athena’s Shield
- Trigger Condition adjusted from Leave combat for 10s to Leave combat for 5s
Rapid Boots
- Craft price decreased from 850 to 750
- Movement speed Boost decreased from 80 to 70
- Movement speed reduction in battle decreased from 40 to 25
Patch 1.7.20 Battle Spell changes
Sprint
- Movement speed boost adjusted from a minimum of 50%, the initial value higher to a constant 50%
Ice Retribution
- Duration decreased from 5s to 4s
Flame Retribution
- Duration decreased from 5s to 4s
Bloody Retribution
- Duration decreased from 5s to 4s
- Total damage and lifesteal remain unchanged
Other changes
- Re-optimized the early-game laning experience so you can now score the last hit more easily when attacking minions
- Reduced minions damage on heroes to make it easier for low HP heroes to deal with minions alone in the late game
- The base now has higher damage reduction when there are no enemy minions nearby
- Optimized the in-match signals so you can now send multiple signals in succession to notify your teammates
- Adjusted some heroes’ recommended lanes based on statistical data (e.g., Akai: Roaming/EXP Lane to Roaming/Jungle)
