Edward Gaming, the 2021 League of Legends World Champions, are on a roll. Holding a 4-0 record in the LPL Spring Split 2022, every single player is still very much on form, especially bot laner Park “Viper” Do-hyeon.

The former Griffin star is one of the most consistent and best bot laners in the world who doesn’t waver, even when the odds are against him.

In Edward Gaming’s most recent match against Oh My God, Viper’s Aphelios and Tian “Meiko” Ye’s Thresh found themselves in a pinch in bot lane. Taken by surprise Mao “Aki” An’s gank, Viper immediately flashed out to create distance.

Meiko’s Thresh became the sacrificial lamb, but despite the number disadvantage, his world-class AD carry prevailed.

Blowing both heal and flash Summoner Spells, Viper managed to reposition to safety.

Meiko’s Thresh, however, wasn’t so lucky. Despite attempting to flash backwards, Liu “COLD” Shi-Yu’s Nautilus predicted his position and landed a deadly accurate hook that guaranteed the kill.

Viper’s Aphelios then attempted to trade back, but could not finish off Aki’s Rek’Sai. Because of this decision, he now had to face the onslaught of Oh My God’s bot lane duo.

Moving back to the safety of his turret, Viper switched guns to Gravitum, which forced COLD to retreat as the threat of getting rooted under the turret was high. But by doing so, COLD’s Nautilus inevitably stood too close to Dai “Able” Zhi-Chun’s Jinx, which prompted Viper to switch to Infernum for AoE damage.

Collectively, COLD took too many turret shots, and perished. Desperate to finish the job, Able pressed on. Viper cleverly adapted again by switching back to Gravitum for more concentrated damage, and kited back beautifully.

A last second Safeguard shield from Zhao “Jiejie” Li-Jie’s Lee Sin barely helped him survive with just 23 HP, and the double kill.

Edward Gaming went on to snowball their lead to complete the 2-0 sweep over Oh My God to take top place in the LPL standings.

The LPL Spring Split 2022 continues, with daily matches livestreamed on its official Twitch and YouTube channels.
