North American organization Sentinels have announced that they have acquired Jordan “Zellsis” Montemurro from Version1, just a few days after the blockbuster signing of former CS:GO pro and superstar streamer Michael “Shroud” Grzesiek.
The Version1 star will join the boys in red for the remainder of the VCT 2022 season, debuting with Sentinels in the VCT North America Last Chance Qualifier in August.
Zellsis attended Masters Reykjavik 2021 with Version1, finishing in 5th to 6th place. The flex player will replace Eric “Kanpeki” Xu on the team, Shahzeb “ShahZaM” Khan confirmed on stream.
Kanpeki joined Sentinels in late April, in place of longtime member Jared “zombs” Gitlin. However, the team were eventually unable to make it out of the VCT NA Stage 2 Challengers group stage, notching a dismal 0-5 record.

Zellsis will join Sentinels Valorant roster in the upcoming VCT NA LCQ
Despite missing out on both Masters events in the VCT 2022 season, Sentinels earned enough VCT circuit points to qualify for the upcoming VCT NA LCQ, alongside The Guard, FaZe Clan, Cloud9, Shopify Rebellion, NRG Esports, 100 Thieves, and Evil Geniuses.
Newcomers Shroud and Zellsis will join Masters Reykjavik 2021 championship trio ShahZaM, Tyson “TenZ” Ngo, and Michael “dapr” Gulino as they look to qualify for Valorant Champions Istanbul.
Hunter “SicK” Mims will not be returning to Sentinels’ active roster yet, after stepping back from the game in the middle of Stage 2 due to an undisclosed family emergency.
The team will be bootcamping together as they prepare for the LCQ in August.
