The streets of Seoul will be seeing Faker’s BMW soon.
Greetings and generous gifts flooded the League of Legends superstar and three-time Worlds champion Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok on his birthday last Friday, May 7.
The city of Seoul will soon see Faker’s BMW
His organization, T1, gave him a brand new car during his special day (or what they call Faker day).
Faker’s BMW M550i xDrive Sedan might just be the baddest boy in town with its matte black, metallic finish, and luxurious interior.
The BMW M550i xDrive Sedan currently retails at US$76,800.
The car was personally gifted to him by T1 CEO Joe Marsh last May 7, on Faker’s birthday. He is now 25 years old.
Faker gave his new car a quick test drive, and even expressed how happy he was to receive such an expensive present with his signature thumbs-up pose.
Fans and other brands also celebrated Faker’s birthday by sending him gifts and sweets.
Faker is actually very thrifty amidst his multi-million esports earnings
Despite having a huge income and being a co-owner at T1, Faker is very frugal and only spends about US$170 (KR₩ 200,000) a month, the pro player revealed during a guesting at Korean talk show “Radio Star.”
He explained that he’s the kind of guy who likes staying at home, and in fact, has never even been to Itaewon, a lively, tourist-friendly district in Seoul.
Visiting Myeong-dong, passing by the Incheon Bridge, or just taking a trip outside of Seoul — Faker’s BMW can take him anywhere now!
T1 and other esports teams are “United in Rivalry”
T1 is a part of BMW’s esports alliance called “United in Rivalry” featuring teams like Cloud9, Fnatic, FunPlus Phoenix, G2 Esports, and just recently OG Esports.
“United in Rivalry” lets the teams create challenge-based content with BMW and showcase their competitive spirit against each other. All teams have their very own BMW vehicles designed after their organization’s colors.
