The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang North American Qualifier successfully concluded last weekend, and NA powerhouse BloodThirstyKings became the first team to qualify for the prestigious M3 World Championship in December.

Now that the event is over, it’s time to ask the question that is on top of everyone’s minds: Will there be an MPL North America next season?

In an interview with ONE Esports, Moonton North America Esports manager Nicholas Chang spoke about how MLBB continues to have an upward trend in the mobile esports market.

“We’ve seen growth over the last year and there’s great interest in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang here,” he said. “We look forward to bringing more local and global events together.”

Chang also noted that more and more people in NA are now embracing mobile games, especially since positive feedback was received after the North American Qualifier.

“The presence of SirActionSlacks and Capitalist as casters in the North American qualifiers is one proof that mobile esports can be easily accepted by PC players,” Chang stated.

With the rapid growth of MLBB, there could very well be an official MPL tournament in North America soon.

“MPL North America? Most likely. Currently we are still looking for options and conducting proactive discussions with potential partners,” said Chang.

It’s exciting to see what the future holds for Mobile Legends: Bang Bang in North America, and only time can tell whether we’ll see an MPL North America soon.
