Updated at April 14, 12:28 p.m. (GMT+8): Team OP has pulled out from the competition and removed from the schedule.
The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Singapore Season 3 (MPL SG Season 3) will begin on April 2.
Defending two-time champions EVOS SG will return to take on old foes and new teams alike. Veterans RSG SG and Team Flash are looking to dethrone the white tigers, while EVIL and Team OP aim to surprise the league in their debut.
Will EVOS SG secure a three peat, or will a new team emerge this season? Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming MPL SG Season 3, including results, format, and where to watch the matches live.
What is MPL SG Season 3?
MPL SG Season 3 is the first major MLBB tournament in Singapore. It consists of three phases — the open qualifier, the regular season, and the playoffs.
Eight teams, including two from the open qualifier, will battle it out for five weeks. The winner will take home the majority of the US$100,000 prize pool.
This is the third season of MPL SG since the league’s split with Malaysia last year.
MPL SG Season 3 format
The regular season will be played in a single round robin, best-of-three format. Winning all two games in a match grants three points, two points for a 2-1 match score, and one point for losing a 1-2 match. The top four teams advance to the upper bracket of the playoffs, while the bottom four are sent to the lower bracket.
The playoffs will be in a double elimination, best-of-three format, except for the lower bracket final which will be a best-of-five series. The grand final is a best-of-seven clash.
