Former Sentinels pro player Jay “Sinatraa” Won thinks something is missing from 100 Thieves’ Valorant roster.
“The roster’s just not world-class, if you understand me,” said Sinatraa, while watching their match against Luminosity Gaming.
Even after the addition of young guns Sean “bang” Bezerra and Noah “jcStani” Smith, 100 Thieves are still looking for their first win in the VCT NA Stage 1 Challengers Main Event with just two games left to play.
Their most recent match went 2-1 in favor of Luminosity, despite the heroics of bang.

Sinatraa on what’s missing from the new 100 Thieves Valorant roster
“They don’t have people to hunker down, if that makes sense,” said Sinatraa. “[Ethan ‘ethan’ Arnold] is the only player that they can currently rely on to make the right plays, or even just play off teammates in the right way.”
When his chat said that Peter “Asuna” Mazuryk might also be a similar type of player, Sinatraa disagreed. “No, Asuna’s not like that. He’s the opposite,” he said. Asuna doesn’t always make the smartest moves, according to Sinatraa, and “just has good aim”.
“I personally think what they need is a good in-game leader. But they also need five players who can adapt on the fly,” explained the former Overwatch pro.
“A decent IGL can make the main calls, but the other players need to be good enough to make their own decisions as well. They shouldn’t need to have someone to call everything for them.”
Having said that, it’s still early days for 100 Thieves’ new roster and it’s possible that they are still finding their footing with new roles for key players. Ethan has taken over as in-game leader in the wake of Adam “ec1s” Eccles’ departure, while Spencer “Hiko” Martin is retiring his signature Sova in favor of Viper.
The team had a strong showing at February’s Knights Monthly Gauntlet, despite coming up short against TSM in the grand final. Against Luminosity, new hire Bang was a bright spot for the team, topping the server with 61 kills across three maps despite not playing a duelist.
100 Thieves will play their next game against XSET on March 7.
