Motivate.Trust Gaming hard carry Souliya “JaCkky” Khoomphetsavong will stand in for BOOM Esports at the upcoming DPC SEA Winter Regional Finals.
JaCkky will take the place of Justine Ryan Evangelista “Tino” Grimaldo, who was moved to the inactive roster, the Indonesian organization announced today. MG.Trust was relegated from Division I after a seventh-place finish in Tour 1 of DPC SEA 2021/2022.
BOOM, on the other hand, was the unexpected champion of Division 1. Changing four players in the offseason, BOOM was initially supposed to play in Division II. But the banning of Omega Esports—which has since been lifted after further appeals—gave the Indonesian organization a unique opportunity to be promoted. Seizing their chance, BOOM tore through Division I, ending with a 6-1 record and a spot in the Regional Finals.
MG.Trust already has a replacement lined up for JaCkky, loaning Thai phenom Nuengnara “23savage” Teeramahanon from T1. The Thai organization is currently playing at the BTS Pro Series Season 10.
