Of all the Korean teams that could have stopped Vision Striker’s unprecedented 104-game win streak, F4Q was probably the last on the list.

The self-described ‘team of clowns’ are a stream team, made up of five streamers in Korea.

On the roster of F4Q are:

  • Kim “Efina” Nak-yeon
  • Yoo “fiveK” Sung-min
  • Kim “GodDead” Sung-sin
  • Chae “Bunny” Joon-hyuk
  • Kim “zunba” Joon-hyuk

F4Q made their official debut during First Strike: Korea, where they were beaten by Vision Strikers in the quarterfinals. The team had a reputation for being funny and entertaining, rather than being top fraggers with raw mechanical skill. Commentators even called them the “accidental pros” during First Strike, since they lacked the in-game discipline and game knowledge that most pro players have.

Bunny and zunba are the only players on the team with extensive professional experience, with their past as part of Seoul Dynasty in the Overwatch League.

The stream team were beaten several times by Vision Strikers previously, so when F4Q faced off against them for the qualifiers for the VCT Challengers Stage 2, everyone guessed Vision Strikers would win again.

While Vision Strikers took the first map Bind, F4Q had a dominant performance on Split with a 13-6 score. F4Q brought their opponents to overtime on Haven, and after 28 very close rounds, F4Q finally took a series from Vision Strikers.

With drastic improvement over the last few months, it doesn’t look like anyone will be underestimating F4Q again. The team stated during First Strike that they would love to beat Vision Strikers, and their dream has finally been realized.

They will next be playing for the main event of VCT Korea Challengers Stage 2, where they could be facing Vision Strikers once again.

The winner of the playoffs will be advancing to Masters in Reykjavik, Iceland.
